6100 Overview
Compaq's 6100 series are probably the one of best made and most popular laptops in the world. Due to their high original cost, they are usually bought buy corporate business, rather than private individuals. They have a long standing reputation for quality and are favoured by professional users worldwide. The construction / build quality is exceptional. The ABS plastics are very hard wearing and are resistant to scratching / damage. They are a lovely, high quality, modern looking slim-line laptop.

Features and use
Our 6100 has a 1.0 Ghz CPU and 256Mb Ram. Windows 2000, which is already installed, runs very quiackly on these machines. We also include Office and anti-virus. You could load on windows XP yourself if you wanted - it would run nicely on these machines, no problem.

This machine great for everyday computing activity - such as office applications, email, internet, email, etc. It is not, however suitable for resource hungry applications such as high-end gaming. If you want a laptop for this type of activuty, you should havea look at our higher specification range.

For a limited period of time, These laptops also come with WIRELESS NETWORK. This is perfect for high speed home broadband with no wires or for connecting to 3rd party networks and internet when you are out and about without any fuss! The high speed network allows these laptops to run internet based applications as quick as the high spec, brand new laptops!

There may be some light scratches or scuffs, and obviously some light wear on the keyboard - but any defects will have been rectified during the refurbishment process.

The software is loaded on a freshly formatted, data wiped harddrive. We also supply you with a restore disk - which will quickly and easily restore your laptop to it's original software configuarion should you corrupt your software or get a virus.

We will always describe the quality of our machines as accurately as possible, without exaggeration and will never try and pass of goods that do not meet our minimum standards. You can and should expect a well presented machine with no hidden surprises and nothing more than light wear and tear. The battery is not warranted as it is classed as a consumable.
