Features and use
Our C640 has a 1.8 Ghz Pentium 4 CPU and 512Mb Ram. This is a powerful combination and will ensure that you have plenty of grunt when it's required and do not get bogged down.
This machine is perfect for everyday computing activity - such as office applications, email, internet, etc. It's also suitable for other "high-end" uses such as web design and graphics applications such as dreamweaver, photoshop etc. The powerful CPU and generous memory also make it suitable for
really resource hungry applications such as high end professional 3D graphical design/rendering
Although it's OK for many games, it's not really suited for playing the high end modern games - which really required specialised graphics cards/chips - specifically designed for this purpose.
There's also an option to upgrade to a new battery and/or WIRELESS NETWORK card. This is perfect for high speed home broadband without wires or for connecting to 3rd party networks and internet when you are out and about without any fuss! The high speed network allows these laptops to run internet based applications as quick as the high spec, brand new laptops can.
Refurbished Condition and Process
Our Latitude C640's are genuine grade A machines that have been professionally refurbished. Each unit is put through a professional comprehensive testing and refurbishing procedure to ensure that it reaches you in top condition. There may be some light scratches or scuffs, and obviously some wear on the keyboard - but any defects will have been rectified during the refurbishment process.
The software is loaded on a freshly formatted, data wiped harddrive. We will always describe the quality of our machines as accurately as possible, without exaggeration and will never try and pass of goods that do not meet our grade A standard. You can and should expect a well presented machine with no hidden surprises and nothing more than light wear and tear. The battery is not warranted as this is classed as a consumable - however, we'll give you 80% off the r.r.p of an unused, brand new battery if you want one and let you it for only £39.00 (only with a purchase of a Latitude C640 laptop.
One last consideration, there are many other suppliers that will offer "Grade A" goods, that are really grade B machines, so that they can clear some extra profit, or offer lower prices. As a high volume internet company, we understand that price is key and work to VERY tight margins - with this in mind it is of vital importance that we minimise returns or potential customer dissatisfaction. By being completely honest and accurate in our description of goods and our terms of trading, PRIOR to the sale, we avoid potential issues or misunderstandings when the goods arrive. In addition, if an issue does occur - you can expect us to deal with and efficiently, without any heel-dragging.
Now do yourself a favour and buy one before they all go! If you've not bought from us before and want to check us out as a company, have a look at our testimonials section - these are ALL genuine.

How to buy a Latitude C640
There are so many places to buy a Latitude C640, how do you find the best one? First of all decide whether you are happy to buy your Latitude C640 online, or would you rather get your Latitude C640 from a local dealer. This is very much up to you. Many local dealers can offer much more competitive pricing on a Latitude C640 these days than they used to.
Getting the right Latitude C640 If you are not sure you are probably best to buy a proprietary make Latitude C640 with a good warranty and from about the middle of the range. Most people would notice little or no difference between a middle and top of the range Latitude C640. More importantly you should consider the specific features that you want supplied with your Latitude C640 - don't worry too much about gigabyte and MHz if you are buying new - even the cheaper Latitude C640 will be very quick and two year down the road the fast Latitude C640 will seem little different from the slower one
Which type of Latitude C640 For years Athlon and Pentium have been battling out to become king of the Latitude C640. I have had many of both types, both in the desktop and laptop variety. Most technical users would say that a Latitude C640 powered with an Athlon CPU is the better machine; it is my experience that the Pentium powered Latitude C640 are excellent, stable and quick - and would now get my vote
How much to spend on your Latitude C640 There are some fantastic deals available if you are prepared to take a refurbished Latitude C640, you could epact to save about 25% on the price of a new Latitude C640. There's no need to stretch yourself and the odds are that you really don't need and won't use all those features on the expensive Latitude C640 - you should save a few quid and take the kids out instead. Go for a good make, middle of the range with a good warranty and you'll be happy with your choice of Latitude C640. At the time of writing you'd be looking at about £500 for a low end Latitude C640, about £750 for a pretty good Latitude C640 and about £1000 for a top of the range Latitude C640
What other peripherals should you buy with your Latitude C640 Even though there may seem to be a bewildering range of Latitude C640 accessories, you should only buy what you thought you needed before you encountered all those other devices that you can plug into your new Latitude C640. The most useful extras to use with your Latitude C640 are a printer, digital camera, good speakers matched with a good sound card. It's also worth having a good optical mouse connected to you Latitude C640.
Your Latitude C640warranty Getting the right warranty is a very important consideration with your new Latitude C640. An onsite warranty is certainly better than a return to base, which can be inconvenient - especially if you no longer have the original box for your Latitude C640. To make sure your unit is nor damaged in transit it is a good idea to keep hold of the original box that your Latitude C640 came supplied in.
Maintenance of you Latitude C640 There are a few essentials for keeping your Latitude C640 in good condition, free from errors and viruses. Using the live update and scheduled maintenance option with Norton anti-virus will almost certainly protect you from nasty viruses. Likewise a firewall will stop your security being breached when you take your Latitude C640 onto the internet. A regular defrayment or run of Norton system works or utilities will help to keep the hard drive in good condition. Those are the core bits of software that will keep your Latitude C640 running nicely. Of course, using your Latitude C640 in a dusty environment could cause the cooling fan to clog up and consequently result in an over-heat of your Latitude C640.
